A Note to My Subscribers
And a change in plans
Just a brief note about my future plans for this substack:
It turns out that I am incapable of writing short essays. Many of them seem to turn into 10,000+ word behemoths. My last essay was upwards of 12,000 words. I have another one in the works that will also be 10,000+ words. I simply can’t sustain a post every week while writing essays that long, especially now that my school semester has started and other responsibilities are pulling on me.
So, you can expect fewer essays of greater length in the future. To my paid subscribers (to whom I extend my sincere gratitude), this will not be a drop-off in total content. It will be about the same amount of content coming in longer intervals and larger packages.
If you have considered becoming a paid subscriber for $5 a month, know that it doesn’t come with any perks yet (although I will do that if/when I have a larger audience), but it seriously motivates me to keep creating content!

Hi, thanks for the work you are doing. You are pulling together a lot of threads that I've been following and presenting a coherent vision.
I wish more people in this corner of the internet adopted the long-form writing format.
Also, I prefer infrequent in-depth articles over frequent but shallow articles (I'm not implying your articles were shallow or anything.. haha).
